Having recently returned from the Islamic pilgrimage, called Hajj, I’d like to use this blog to chronicle the trip – sharing with readers some pictures, descriptions, and information about the places, rituals, and significance of Hajj.
The blog title – “Beyond Hajj” – refers to the fact that what I’ve gained from the journey extends far beyond the physical places of Hajj, and the specific time period in which it occurred. It was a journey that was filled with many, many personal insights and lessons, and by sharing this with you, I hope that what I’ve gained can be of benefit to you – no matter what age, race, religious group, or cultural community you belong to.
I ask that you approach these articles with an open mind, and try to extract from them teachings and principles that you can apply to your own personal situations – all of which, I hope, will help to enrich your own journey through life; towards a life of happiness, contentment, and inner peace – which are universal aims that each and every human longs for.
Thank you for sharing this journey with me, and feel free to leave comments, queries, or any other feedback.
